yeah I've been going insane.

anyway, today after school, went with christine, siow ching, janine (plus two of her friends) to watch percy jackson and the lightning thief. to see the movie on its own, it's not bad, but if you compare it to the book, the storyline changed a lot. the character of mrs dodds is played very well. annabeth's got dark hair (supposed to be blonde) but she's quite good. medusa's too pretty to be medusa, but the snake hair's quite cool. xDD she looks like lady gaga with sunglasses. really! battle part is a bit not too well done, though. by the looks of the movie, i dont think a sequel's coming out. cause the rest of the series focuses on kronos reforming and all that, but in the movie, the antagonist was hades.

so personal movie reviews aside, let us now voice our woes of homework. mrs chan says that composing is an inspirational thing, to sit at the piano and play out random stuff until something comes out, but in my case, everything i play out either turns out contemporary, or something that i've heard before, but is modified in a different key or rhythm or sth. one time i came up with this "really cool" theme, and she said it sounded like the song "L is for the way you look at me" that song, except in a minor key. crazy. so she asked me to redo it. now it's gonna sound like some modification of a mozart sonata. -.- hope it passes her inspection cause I've got 5 lousy bars of 1st theme.

anyway, tmr I hope we make a good chinese new year performance. it had better sound good. I've never been under this kind of pressure to lead the whole choir properly before, and to take responsibility for any mishaps and uncertainty in knowing the music.
